The one arm dumbbell preacher curl should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

Set up a preacher curl bench, making sure the seat is at the appropriate height for you. Rest your arm on the support pad, triceps near the top.
Movement
