Each seated barbell preacher curl should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

1. Position yourself seated in the preacher chair and place your arms on the armrest with palms facing upwards.
2. Grip the barbell approximately shoulder width apart and shoulders lowered.
Movement

1. The exercise begins with the arms slightly bent and be careful not to lock your arms out in this exercise.
2. Slowly curl your arm towards your body while maintaining contact with the armrest where your triceps are pressing against while pulling the weight towards your chest.
3. Hold for two seconds at the moment of intensity before slowly uncurling back down to starting position.
