Triceps are a group of three muscles on the back of your arm that run from your shoulder to your elbow, as the name suggests (opposite the bicep). They are used for fine motor skills such as writing, as well as shooting a basketball, playing tennis, doing pushups, and yoga - imagine how much it hurts when your instructor makes you practice going from downward facing dog or plank to cobra over and over again.

While there are numerous ways to work out your triceps at the gym, here are some simple exercises that any beginner can do at home with a pair of dumbbells.
