How to Do Side Plank Leg Lift, Iso Abs
The side plank leg lift iso abs should begin with good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.
If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the side plank leg lift iso abs.
Beginning
Beginning Side Plank Leg Raise
1. Start with your hands shoulder-width apart in a plank stance. The line between your shoulders, hips, and ankles should be straight.
2. Keep your core engaged and lift your right leg off the floor to around hip height. Maintain a flexed right foot.
3. Take a breather and experience the heat. Then return your right leg to the ground.
4. Reverse the process with your left leg.
Movement
Side Plank Leg Raise Movement
1. Start off by laying on the ground on your side. One arm should be bent slightly holding you up off of the ground with your forearm flat on the floor. Your legs will be straight with your knees bent and legs in the back of you, forming a 90 degree angle.
2. Your other arm will be slightly bent with your hand on your hips.
3. From this position push off with your hips. Your body will straighten as you hold yourself up with your forearm, and only the leg that is closest to the ground.
4. Your other leg will be straight and in the air, and your opposite arm is going to be straight up in the air.
5. Hold this position, then slowly bring yourself back down to the starting position. Repeat for repetitions.
