How to Do Standing Calf Raise With Toes in
This exercise is an option for those with noted restriction into medial rotation of the hip, as well as a lack of stability of the arch of the foot.
THIS IS NOT A LOADED EXERCISE FOR HYPERTROPHY AS LOADING THE FOOT/ANKLE IN THIS POSITION MAY CAUSE PAIN AND INJURY.
Beginning
Beginning Standing Calf Raise
Position the client as seen in the second photo with hands on a chair and feet hips internally rotated.
Movement
Standing Calf Raise Movement
1. Perform a calf raise to FULL AVAILABLE ROM.
2. Perform at a slow controlled tempo until full ROM is no longer possible, fatigue NOT a failure.
