How to Do Kneeling Cable Chop

The kneeling cable chop should begin with a good posture to avoid injury. Brace the spine by drawing your lower abdomen inward. Your core muscles should be activated to support your posture as you perform the exercise.

If any pain is experienced, immediately stop the kneeling cable chop.

Beginning Kneeling Cable Chop

1. Connect a rope to a cable station's high pulley. Get down on your knees and face the cable station with your right side.

2. Then, using your right hand, grip the top of the rope and your left hand, grab the bottom of the rope. Both grips are overhand, and your torso should be facing the cable machine.

3. Start the exercise by pulling the rope down past your left hip while turning your torso to the left. After a brief pause, progressively return to the beginning position. This brings us to the end of one rep.
